We have now submitted our planning applications to Cardiff Council and Newport City Council for Hendre Lakes and Cardiff Parkway railway station.
Reaching this milestone is an exciting step closer to bringing a new railway station and surrounding business district to this part of south Wales, connecting people and businesses, delivering jobs and encouraging investment.
The submission follows a five-week pre-application consultation period, which ran from Wednesday 05 August and Wednesday 09 September 2020, and the finalisation of the proposals after that.
We would like to thank everyone who participated in the consultation period in August – September 2020, and to those who shared their views during our early public engagement in 2019. This feedback has helped shape our proposals and demonstrated high levels of support for the potential benefits the project will bring to the area.
